The Staff Association is all about you
If you are a classified staff member in the College of Science, then you are automatically a member of the College of Science Staff Association. Our organization is dedicated to representing your views, opinions, and concerns to the college administration and the Staff Senate. The association is also an opportunity for you to get involved in community projects and gain support for professional development.'
Why the College of Science Staff Association?
1. COSSA provides a voice for staff members to advocate for and improve College of Science staff development programs.
2. COSSA provides many ways to participate in various community outreach programs.
3. COSSA provides multiple opportunities to connect with other staff members within the College through our special events.
4. COSSA provides a voice in the Staff Senate and in University Goverance to help create a satisfying place to work, and improving communication among staff and administrators.

The association's special programs offer the opportunity to get to know your fellow staff members and to be recognized for your service to the College of Science.
The college hosts a recognition reception for faculty and staff members each fall. Staff members who are celebrating milestones in the careers (5, 10, 20, 30, and 40 years of service in the college) are formally recognized with a gift from the College of Science Staff Association .
The College of Science kicks off the fall semester in August with a picnic for the staff, dean's office, and department heads.
In early December, the College of Science faculty and staff are invited to a holiday social. Last year this event was held in the Atrium of Hahn Hall. This a time for refreshments and holiday cheer. This social has proven to be a popular and relaxing event to get everyone "in the mood" for the holidays and enjoy socializing with other faculty and staff members in the college.
