An option that allows students to take pre-approved courses at other institutions and transfer credit hours back to Virginia Tech to count toward their degree.
Policy on Current Student Transfer Course Requests
Student's on academic or disciplinary suspension are not eligible to transfer courses
Only 18 credits will transfer during a student's senior year
A minimum of 25% of course work counting toward a degree must taken at Virginia Tech
25% of all in-major course work must be completed at Virginia Tech
25% of all courses counting toward a minor, option, or concentration must be completed at Virginia Tech
Grades do not transfer only credit hours
Only courses with a "C" or better will transfer
Authorization to Take Courses Elsewhere Form must be submitted and approved before credits will transfer.
Student's completing a double degree (more than one diploma) cannot transfer any courses back to complete the second degree once the first degree has been awarded
