In February 1859, Abraham Lincoln identified the six great steps in the history of liberty in his "lecture on discoveries and inventions". The right of inventors and authors to royalties for patents and copyrights was one of them. Today, intellectual property has become a major part of the worlds economy and one of the fastest growing areas of law: stem cell research, gene patents, clean technology, file sharing, digital libraries - every day we are faced with a new issue at the intersection of science, technology, and law.

Anna-Marion received her LL.M. in IP from the MIPLC in Munich, Germany (an IP Centre jointly run by the Max Planck Institute for IP and Competition Law, University of Augsburg, Technische Universität München, and George Washington University School of Law). She holds an LL.B. (hons) from University of Durham, UK.
Patent Attorney at New River Intellectual Property Law
Ms. Mayberry received a J.D. from the George Washington University and a Bachelor’s of Science from George Mason University. She is licensed to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia, and is registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Muller received his B.S. General Sciences at Virginia Polytechnic University (1969), his J.D. with Honors from John Marshall Law School (1974) and his L.L.M. from George Washington University (1978). He is currently licensed to practice law in Texas, as well as before the Court of Appeals on the Federal Circuit.
