The College of Science recruits candidates across a wide variety of fields such as mathematics, statistics, biological sciences, geosciences, psychology, economics, chemistry, and physics. In addition, we continue to actively build our programs in more integrated, interdisciplinary sciences such as nanoscience, computer modeling and data analytics, neuroscience, and systems biology. To respond to the rapidly changing needs of our students and society, we approach the hiring process looking for a mix of tenure-track scientists who are established in their fields, as well as those at the assistant professor level, research faculty, and staff applicants. All tenure-track candidates should expect to establish vigorous research programs and will be expected to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Successful candidates will also participate in department, college, and university governances.
