COSSA is all about you!
If you are a classified staff member in the College of Science, then you are automatically a member of COSSA! Our organization is dedicated to representing your views, opinions, and concerns to the college administration and the Staff Senate. COSSA is also an opportunity for you to get involved in community projects and gain support for professional development.
About COSSA
The College of Science Staff Association, which was established in 2003, is governed by its elected officers (the Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer), Committee Chairs, Staff Senators, and the Dean for the College of Science. The officers meet three times a year to discuss business and upcoming events. Representatives from each department meet with the officers four times a year. All COSSA members are invited to a yearly March meeting, during which time elections are held.
If you are interested in serving as a representative or committee member, or would like to run for an elected office, we would highly encourage you to do so! Please contact the current COSSA Chairperson or your department's representative for more information. We would also like to express our appreciation to those who are currently serving their college and fellow staff members.
